The introduction of the Coordination Council of cadet-student self-government at Odesa State University of Internal Affairs is the realization of the rights of applicants for higher education, the formation of a sense of responsibility in them, the ability to solve social, economic, cultural and educational problems.

At the same time, cadet-student self-government is an effective form of self-education, which ensures the formation of skills of the future organizer, leader.

The purpose of the activities of self-government bodies is to create conditions for the self-realization of the personalities of applicants for higher education, the formation of their organizational skills, leadership qualities, responsibility for the result of their studies, work, etc. The activities of self-government bodies are aimed at protecting the rights and interests of applicants for higher education and their participation in the management of the University.

Cadet-student self-government participates in the management of the university on issues of education, science, life, etc. In its activities, it is guided by the Constitution of Ukraine, the laws of Ukraine "On Higher Education," "On the National Police," legal acts of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and the University Charter.

Main tasks of cadet-student self-government

• ensuring the protection of the rights and interests of applicants for higher education by establishing a constant dialogue of representatives of the cadet-student self-government with scientific and pedagogical workers and university management;

• participation in providing educational, scientific, creative activities of cadets, students and masters;

• promoting the creation of various cadet and student circles, societies, associations and coordination of their activities;

• promotion of a healthy lifestyle, safe behavior, prevention and prevention of offenses committed by applicants for higher education;

• participation in educational work with cadets and students;

• education of patriotism, promoting the formation of moral and ethical standards among applicants for higher education;

• promoting the organization of leisure and recreation of applicants for higher education;

• charity work.
