Establishment of cooperation between the ODUVS and the NATO Information and Documentation Center in Kyiv
International cooperation, as an integral part of the activities of the Odessa State University of Internal Affairs, enriches the university's activities, expands the scope of interests and practical results in science
Integration into the European and world education system, and even the training of world-class specialists, are determining factors for educational institutions during the establishment of international contacts, organization and development of multifaceted cooperation with foreign partners, and it does not take place separately from the existing vector of state policy as a whole.
One of the priority directions of state policy today is the deepening of Ukraine's integration with NATO and the EU, that is why the question of the formation and evolution of NATO in the process of its existence, the essence, nature, structure and basic principles of NATO's activities, prospects and consequences of modern relations of NATO member countries and places in them of Ukraine, etc., are relevant for study by future law enforcement officers of our country. Taking this fact into account, Odesa State University of Internal Affairs is interested in establishing contacts with the NATO Information and Documentation Center.
Thus, on July 17, the rector of the Odessa State University of Internal Affairs, police colonel Dmytro Shvets, attended an online meeting with People's Deputy of Ukraine Oleksiy Leonov and project manager of the NATO Information and Documentation Center in Kyiv, Svitlana ROTAYENKO.
During the meeting, issues of cooperation between the Odessa State University of Internal Affairs and the NATO Information and Documentation Center in Kyiv were discussed in the format of lectures, webinars for students of higher education, development of training programs for holding conferences and round tables dedicated to NATO and/or Ukraine-NATO relations and others ways of deepening relations and cooperation between Ukraine and the North Atlantic Alliance in the Odesa region.
During the meeting, the rector emphasized the importance of the cooperation of the Odessa State University of Internal Affairs with the NATO Information and Documentation Center and the signing of a memorandum of cooperation.
