The Rectorate of Odesa State University of Internal Affairs is a permanent working collegial governing body established to coordinate the work of the units and promptly resolve current operational issues in order to ensure operational management of the OSUIA activities aimed at implementing the laws of Ukraine, decrees and orders of the President of Ukraine, resolutions of the Verkhovna Rada and the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, orders of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, decisions of the Academic Council of the University and internal authorities.

The University Administration is headed by the Rector of the University Viacheslav Davydenko, who manages the activities of the University Administration, and in his absence, a person performing his duties.

The main tasks of the administration are:

Consideration and prompt resolution of current issues of educational, scientific, financial, economic and international activities, personnel, educational and career guidance work, legal and medical support, organization of service and internal order, social security and academic freedom of the staff, other organizational issues aimed at effective management of the university and its structural units.

Hearing the results of work on the organization of the educational process, inspection, certification and accreditation of the university, as well as plans to eliminate the identified shortcomings and the results of their implementation.

Hearing reports of the heads of structural subdivisions, as well as reviewing the results of the work of the university's structural subdivisions, the quality of staffing of structural subdivisions.

Consideration of the state of compliance with financial discipline, preservation and use of property under the operational management of the university, material and technical resources, implementation of internal financial control and elimination of identified shortcomings.

Consideration of the issues of interaction and development of cooperation, partnerships with higher education institutions and law enforcement agencies of Ukraine, foreign countries, external stakeholders (employers), and other structures, including internationalization (international cooperation, academic mobility of higher education students and employees, joint projects with higher education institutions of other countries).

Maintaining high ethical standards in the team, creating an atmosphere of goodwill and mutual respect between employees and students.

Implementation of comprehensive education of students and employees in the spirit of observance of laws, the idea of national consciousness, formation of a sense of patriotism based on spirituality and morality, popularization of the spiritual and cultural heritage of the Ukrainian people, raising the prestige of the legal profession and the authority of the National Police, ensuring modern approaches to personnel training.

Consideration of social and domestic issues, issues of social protection of students and university staff, creation of appropriate conditions for scientific and pedagogical, scientific and professional activities, promotion of social security.
