Vasyl Lichman

call sign «Lion»

Lieutenant, commander of the rifle platoon of the rifle company of the 28th Brigade named after the Knights of the Winter Campaign.

For courage and bravery, he was awarded the Order of the «Knight's Cross of the Ukrainian Volunteer Army» and decorations for participation in combat operations.

He was born in Odesa. From August 2007 to February 2009, he studied at the Odesa Law Institute of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs (part-time). He is a lawyer by profession.

With the beginning of the full-scale invasion, he stood up to defend Ukraine. He took part in battles in Mykolaiv, Kherson and Bakhmut.

He died on January 23, 2023 near the village Kurdyumivka, Bakhmut district, during a combat mission.

He was buried in the Alley of Heroes of the Western Cemetery in Odesa.
