Chief sergeant of the rifle company of the 49th separate infantry battalion «Carpathian Sich».

According to the Decree of the President of Ukraine dated April 28, 2023, № 246/2023, Sergeant Taras Kuzmin was awarded the Order «For Courage» of the III degree (posthumously).

Taras Kuzmin was born in Odesa. From October 1998 to March 2000, he studied at the Odesa Institute of Internal Affairs (Odesa State University of Internal Affairs).

He died near the village of Terny, Donetsk region, while performing a combat mission.

A memorial plaque in honor of Taras Kuzmin was unveiled at the school where the defender studied, Odesa Gymnasium № 66.
