The Department of Language Training was established by the order of the Rector of the OSUIA dated 12.06.2019 No. 239 on the basis of the Department of Foreign Languages (from 1995 to 2002 - the Department of Ukrainian Studies and Language Training) and the Department of Ukrainian Studies (from 2002 to 2008 - the Department of Statehood of Ukraine).

Since 2020, the Department of Language Training has been headed by Candidate of Philology, Associate Professor Olena Sytko.

All of this actualizes the need to search for such promising technologies for organizing teaching in the state and foreign languages that would be maximally focused on the professional and practical interests of future specialists and involve the following tasks

- introduction of innovative teaching technologies, results of modern scientific research in the field of philology and language teaching methods into the educational process, based on the competence approach in accordance with the requirements of the Law of Ukraine “On Higher Education”

- formation of Ukrainian and foreign language competencies, in particular, mastering language material, expanding the vocabulary of common and special vocabulary;
