Speaking Club for applicants for higher education with the participation of EUAM representatives

Тhe Odesa State University of Internal Affairs hosted the Speaking Club for higher education applicants on the topic: «Police with empathy: how to communicate with people with disabilities».

The event was held with the participation of Georgios Pokas (Greece) - Senior Advisor on General Law Enforcement of the Advisory Mission of the European Union, as well as expert in conducting trainings Olha Radkevych.

 

 

Participants discussed the peculiarities of interaction between police officers and people with disabilities. During the interactive part of the event, applicants for higher education, together with invited specialists, modeled situations from the practice of law enforcement, aimed at developing an empathic and professional approach in communicating with people with disabilities.

 

 

The event was an important stage in the formation of applicants' skills of effective communication and respect for human dignity within law enforcement.
