OSUIA lecturers underwent training for trainers from EUAM experts in Odesa

Scientific and pedagogical staff of OSUIA took part in a training of trainers (ToT) organized by the Regional Office of the European Union Advisory Mission (EUAM) in Odesa.

The training program was aimed at improving teaching skills using EU methodologies in line with modern teaching methods and strategies, as well as improving communication with students and introducing the latest approaches to adult education.

 

 

Leading international experts shared their experience with teachers:

 

Georgios Pokas, senior advisor on general police activities;

 

Desiree Hufnagel, advisor / trainer on criminal investigations;

 

Olha Radkevych, expert on training and education.

 

 

Over the course of three days, participants worked on topics such as:

 

active teaching methods and teaching principles;

 

qualities and skills of an effective trainer;

 

storytelling and public speaking skills in teaching;

 

active listening techniques (PEACE model);

 

group interaction and trust-building formats;

 

digital tools in the learning process; 

 

AI-based tools;

 

working with difficult groups and responding to emergencies.

 

 

Particular attention was paid to building constructive feedback and developing lesson plans based on the BOPPPS model.
