Odessa State University of Internal Affairs hosted a round table discussion on “Implementation of EU Standards and Approaches on Issues of Non-Violent Upbringing of Children” organized as part of the Erasmus+ grant project: Jean Monnet module “Nonviolent Educational Practices: EU Experience”.

The event was a logical continuation and development of the round table of the same name held at the university in 2024 and confirmed the consistency and systematic implementation of European approaches to non-violent parenting in the educational process at OSUIA.

The round table summed up the next stage of the implementation of the project “Non-violent Educational Practices: EU Experience” and became a platform for discussing current challenges in the field of child rights protection, violence prevention, and the adaptation of European standards to Ukrainian realities.

The event, which was held in offline and online formats, was attended by students of the training course — cadets and university students, as well as students of the Odesa Teacher’s Training Professional College.

Participants discussed the practical aspects of early detection of violence, the responsibility of specialists for creating a safe environment for children, and the importance of cooperation between specialists in accordance with European standards for the protection of children's rights.

As in the previous year, the round table contributed to deepening and consolidating the participants' knowledge, which can be used in the educational, social, and law enforcement spheres.
