Participants of the three-day seminar on cybersecurity received EUAM certificates

In the period from 6 to 8 of August a practical seminar on "Cybersecurity" was held at the OSUIA. The speaker of the event was Dragos-Gabriel Dima, Senior Advisor on Cybersecurity of the European Union Advisory Mission.

 

Cadets of the Educational and Scientific Institute for Training Specialists for the Criminal Police Units of the NPU joined the event. In addition, Michaela Dan, a cybersecurity risk analyst of the National Directorate for Cybersecurity of Romania, was involved in the practical seminar, who shared her experience in investigating crimes related to social engineering. 

 

 

Certificates confirming the successful completion of training and acquired knowledge were presented to the participants by the Rector of the University, Colonel of Police Dmytro Shvets, Head of the EUAM Regional Office in Odesa Anders Johansen and EUAM representative Dragos-Gabriel Dima. 

 

 

Completion of the course was an important step in increasing the competence of higher education applicants in the field of cybersecurity, which is extremely relevant in the modern digital world.

 

 

This course is an integral part of the advanced training program that the university is actively implementing to train highly qualified specialists in the field of cybersecurity. The practical knowledge gained during the course will contribute to increasing the effectiveness of the protection of information systems, which is especially important in the conditions of modern cyber threats. 

 

 

EUAM representatives highly appreciated the level of training and active participation of higher education applicants, stressing the importance of further cooperation in the field of cybersecurity. They emphasized that the exchange of experience and knowledge between international experts and Ukrainian specialists is a key element in strengthening overall cybersecurity.
