On August 5, representatives of Odesa State University of Internal Affairs took part in training sessions on mental recovery entitled «Self-help in stressful situations», which were held at the Odesa National Scientific Library.

The program was attended by Hanna Velichko, regional coordinator of the All-Ukrainian mental health program «How are you?», and Tetiana Ulianova, practical psychologist of the Department of Psychosocial Support and Mental Health of the Odesa Regional Medical Center for Mental Health.

During the training, participants learned to recognize signs of stress, regulate their condition using breathing and physical techniques, and create their own «first aid kit».

The event was interactive, and everyone there got some useful theoretical and practical help through a bunch of exercises on managing their own mental and emotional state.

A thematic book exhibition entitled «The Library – A Space for Psychosocial Support» was also presented to those present.

Every day, the war brings social challenges and uncertainty. One of the main factors in coping with this is taking care of your mental health. This is important!
