Training on psychosocial support for higher education students at OSUIA
On October 21, OSUIA held a training session on psychosocial support for university students on the topic: «Anger Management. Self-Help», which was conducted by consultants from the Ukrainian Red Cross Society.
During the event, participants discussed the nature of anger and aggression, as well as the differences between them. Speakers emphasized that frequent and intense experiences of anger can negatively affect a person's physical and mental health, including causing muscle tension and health problems.
The consequences of uncontrolled anger in everyday life were also considered, and rules for safely expressing emotions that help maintain psychological health were discussed. Particular attention was paid to self-help techniques, in particular the «get off the hook» method, which helps reduce emotional tension.
The training gave participants the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of both the negative and positive aspects of anger, learn to manage their emotions, and develop healthy ways of responding to stressful situations.
