Training of security specialists in the educational environment started at the OSUIA

Оn 29 January the Odesa Police Academy Primary Vocational Training Centre of the Odesa State University of Internal Affairs has launched a special training course for security specialists in the educational environment with representatives of local communities of Zhytomyr and Odesa regions, which will last until 23 February.

The project "Safety Specialist in the Educational Environment" is aimed at improving the level of safety in the educational environment, including prevention, early detection, suppression and elimination of negative phenomena and their harmful effects on student safety, by introducing and organising the activities of a safety specialist in the educational environment at educational institutions.

The pilot project is coordinated by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.

A specialist undergoes special training for up to four weeks at a higher education institution with specific training conditions that belong to the MIA's management, according to a programme agreed with the MIA, the Ministry of Education and Science, the National Police and the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
