Meeting of cadets OSUIA with the head of the 5th Directorate (Investigation) of the Criminal Investigation Department of the National Police of Ukraine

Сadets of the Educational and Scientific Institute for Training Specialists for Criminal Police Units of the National Police of Ukraine had the opportunity to talk with Colonel Roman Krylevych, Head of the 5th Division (Investigative Work) of the Criminal Investigation Department of the National Police of Ukraine.

 

A representative of the Criminal Investigation Department gave an introductory lecture to future operatives on «The Organization of Investigative Work in the National Police of Ukraine», during which he spoke about the legal basis of investigative work, types of investigations, focusing separately on the search for suspects, accused (defendants) and missing persons.

 

 

The lecture provided a detailed overview of modern methods and technologies used by law enforcement agencies to identify individuals, search for missing persons, and detect criminals.

 

 

An experienced practitioner spoke about the use of modern video surveillance systems, in particular the «Safe City» system, which helps to track the movements of suspects and effectively coordinate the actions of law enforcement agencies. The speaker also paid considerable attention to the organization of search operations, where coordination between the police, volunteers, and the public plays an important role.

 

 

Roman Krylevych shared his experience in investigative work and provided cadets with valuable advice that will be useful to them in their future careers.
