OSUIA: International Scientific and Practical Conference "Cybersecurity in Ukraine: Legal and Organizational Issues"

Тhe annual International Scientific and Practical Conference "Cybersecurity in Ukraine: Legal and Organizational Issues" was held at the Odesa State University of Internal Affairs. More than 60 participants from Ukraine, Turkey, Ireland and Lithuania took part in the conference.

 

 

Dmytro Shvets, the rector of the university, welcomed the participants of the scientific event and emphasized  the main goal of the conference to find the solutions to  the problems  of ensuring cyber security in Ukraine and protecting information from cyber threats, as well as researching problematic issues of criminal analysis development.

 

 

Representatives of the Advisory Mission of the European Union in Odesa, CEPOL, the Department of Criminal Analysis of the Main Office of the National Police in the Odesa Region and the Directorate for Combating Cybercrimes in the Odesa Region of the  Cyber Police Department of the National Police of Ukraine also expressed their wishes for fruitful work.

 

 

Future operatives of combating cyber crimes and cyberpolice units Sofiia Tsezaruk and Alina Rohachova, who are currently undergoing initial professional training at the Odesa Center for Initial Professional Training "Police Academy" along with the graduates of the university and future masters  of "Criminal Analysis" Roman Yuzheka and Kateryna Vykhrystiuk took part in  the conference and made their reports. 

 

 

The participants of the conference note that the problems of ensuring cyber security, protecting information from cyber threats, the use of information systems and technologies in combating cyber crimes, consideration of criminal analysis as a tool for countering cybercrime in law enforcement activities are gaining special relevance in both theoretical and practical dimensions.
