A round table was held at OSUIA within the framework of the Erasmus+ grant project "Non-violent educational practices: EU experience"

The Odesa State University of Internal Affairs hosted a roundtable discussion "Childhood without Violence: Safety in the Family as a Component of Eurosecurity" within the framework of the Erasmus+ program: Jean Monnet module.

 

The participants of the roundtable were students of the course - cadets and university students - future law enforcement officers, as well as future teachers - students of the Odesa Teacher’s Training Professional College.

 

 

The roundtable was the final of Module 1 of the course: "Childhood Without Violence: Legal, Psychological and Social Mechanisms of Provision".

 

 

The team of the grant project was represented at the roundtable by Olena Kovalova, PhD in Law, Senior Researcher, Associate Professor; Kostiantyn Palshkov, PhD in Political Science, Associate Professor; Natalia Kharchenko, PhD in Psychology.

 

 

The speeches and presentations of the roundtable participants proved that they share the values and goals of the project, which include the formation of zero tolerance for the use of violent methods of educating children.

 

 

Next academic year, the participants will take Module 2 of the training course: "European Standards for the Response of Professionals Working with Children to Incidents of Violence", which means new meetings, new tasks, new skills and abilities.
