Quality education is one of the key priorities for the Ministry of Internal Affairs: Inna Yashchuk

This was emphasized by the State Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Inna Yashchuk at the regional seminar of the National Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance "Current State of the Higher Education Quality Assurance System in Ukraine: Challenges and Prospects”, which took place at the Odesa State University of Internal Affairs. The participants of the event had the opportunity to hear the explanations of the National Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance on the new Regulation on Accreditation of Educational Programs, which is extremely relevant on the eve of the accreditation cycle of educational programs.

 

 

The event was attended by the Head of the National Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance Andrii Butenko and his deputies, Rector of Odesa State University of Internal Affairs Dmytro Shvets, as well as educators and scientists from Odesa region and guarantors of educational programs. 

 

 

 

Inna Yashchuk emphasized that quality education is one of the key priorities for the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as since the beginning of the war the Ministry not only provides the legal framework and performs the main functions of law enforcement in the country, but is also the second ministry by the number of combatants.

 

“Improving the quality of education in the MIA's higher education institutions contributes to the training of specialists capable of responding promptly and professionally to the challenges facing the state today,” said the State Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

 

Andriy Butenko, Head of the NAQA, presented the new Regulation on Accreditation of Educational Programs, emphasizing the updated procedures and criteria for evaluating programs that contribute to improving the quality of education. 

 

 

Particular attention was paid to post-accreditation monitoring and changes in the process of appealing against the decisions of the NAQA, which are intended to make the process more transparent and objective.

 

 

In an open discussion, the participants received answers to their questions. The event was an important step in strengthening the quality of higher education and its adaptation to European standards.
