The Mediation Center of Odesa State University operates on the basis of the Regulations on the Mediation Center of Odesa State University of Internal Affairs.

The main goal of the activity is to popularize mediation as an alternative way to resolve conflicts, to introduce the basics of mediation and conflict intervention skills into the educational process in the course of professional police practice.

The head of the Mediation Center of OSUIA is Liliia Matvieieva, the coordinator of the Center is Polina Baltadzhy, and the secretary of the Center is Liubov Berezovenko.

The Mediation Center involves research and teaching staff of the following departments of OSUIA: Theory and History of State and Law, State Law Disciplines, Administrative Activities of the Police, and Civil Law Disciplines.

Strategic goals of the Center:

• popularization of mediation ideas among the public;

• advanced training of students/cadets, graduates and current police officers;

• development of educational and methodological materials; - conducting mediation procedures by certified mediators.
