Regular meeting of the Mediation Club for higher education seekers
On June 19, OSUIA hosted a regular meeting of the Mediation Club for higher education students. The topic of the meeting was «Communication on the brink of conflict: police experience in peaceful dispute resolution».
The speaker at the event was Khrystyna Bondarenko, senior police lieutenant and inspector of the preventive communication sector of the prevention department of the Odesa Regional Police Department № 1 of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Odesa region.
During the meeting, participants had the opportunity to learn about real-life cases of effective conflict resolution involving police officers and to find out about communication strategies used in working with citizens.
The event took the form of an open dialogue, allowing attendees to ask questions, express their opinions, and share their experiences on ways to constructively resolve disputes in professional and personal spheres.
The OSUIA Mediation Club continues to fulfill an important mission—forming a culture of nonviolent communication and developing dialogue skills among future professionals.
