Meeting of the OSUIA cadets with the Head of the 4th Directorate of the NPU Cyberpolice Department
On December 6, the Head of the 4th Directorate of the NPU Cyber Police Department, Police Major Yevhen Panchenko, gave a lecture to the final year cadets of the Educational and Research Institute for Training Specialists for Criminal Police Units of the NPU of the Odesa State Internal Affairs Department on the place of cyber police in the National Police of Ukraine and in the investigation of cybercrime.
During the lecture, Yevhen Panchenko revealed the functional role of cyberpolice as an important unit of the National Police of Ukraine.
The focus was on the organizational structure of the cyber police, its powers and cooperation with other law enforcement agencies and international partners.
Particular emphasis was placed on the methods and technologies used by cyber police to investigate cybercrime, including combating hacker attacks, financial fraud, data theft and other forms of cyber threats.
The issues of regulatory and legal regulation of cyberpolice activities, current challenges and prospects for the development of this unit in the context of the growing number of cybercrimes were also discussed.
