Military serviceman Yevhen Taraniuk successfully completed training at the Barrier-Free Driving School of OSUIA
30-year-old Yevhen Taraniuk, a graduate of the Barrier-Free Driving School of the OSUIA, successfully passed a practical exam at the Territorial Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and received a category “B” driver's license.
The soldier, whose call sign is “Proxy,” is a native of the Odesa region. He joined the Airborne Brigade of the Assault Troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in June 2023.
Yevhen was wounded in August 2023 near Zaporizhzhia. While performing a combat mission, he was hit by an enemy FPV drone.
“Once I get my driver's license, I will be more mobile. A car will allow me to move freely around the city without putting too much strain on my leg. This opens up new opportunities for me and makes me truly independent,” Yevhen shares his impressions.
The soldier also talked about his plans for the future. Currently, he dreams of becoming a programmer and continuing to develop in this field.
The “Barrier-Free Driving Schools” project was implemented by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine as part of the “Without Barriers” initiative of the First Lady of Ukraine, Olena Zelenska. It aims to create equal opportunities for everyone who wants to learn to drive a car.
