Joint Training Session and Friendly Adaptive Practical Pistol Shooting Competition

As part of the Barrier-Free Week at Odesa State University of Internal Affairs, a joint training session and friendly adaptive practical pistol shooting competition were held.

Veterans of the Russian-Ukrainian war who are currently employed at the university trained and competed side by side with cadets and students under equal conditions. Participants performed shooting exercises while seated, as well as one-handed shooting drills.

Particular attention was given to ensuring genuinely equal conditions for all participants. One of the veterans completed the exercises while using a wheelchair, while the other shooters performed the stages seated on chairs. This approach enabled all participants to compete under the same conditions and gain a better understanding of the specific features of adaptive shooting.

Barrier-free accessibility means creating an environment where experience, determination, and motivation bring people together regardless of life circumstances.

We express our sincere gratitude to the IBIS store for supporting initiatives aimed at developing practical skills, as well as the adaptation and rehabilitation of veterans.
