Thematic Event for the National Barrier-Free Week
А thematic event was held at the Odesa State University of Internal Affairs (OSUIA) on the initiative of the Social and Humanitarian Work Department. The event brought together higher education applicants, veterans of the Russian–Ukrainian war, as well as staff members from various structural units of the university.
During the meeting, participants discussed the following issues:
• appropriate communication and barrier-free environments;
• adaptive sports;
• equal opportunities for education and personal development.
Special attention was given to state and institutional initiatives, in particular the Barrier-Free Driving School operating at OSUIA, which helps individuals acquire practical driving skills and obtain a Category B driver’s license, supporting mobility and independence.
The event included informative lectures and practical sessions that helped participants gain a deeper understanding of the principles of tolerance and barrier-free interaction.
Let us build an environment of equal opportunities together, because accessibility starts with each of us.
