Odesa police psychologists undergo training in tactical combat medicine TCCC CLS
The OSUIA held a training on Tactical Combat Casualty Care Combat Lifesaver (TCCC CLS) in cooperation with EUAM Ukraine and the NGO Tactical Medicine North.
The event was attended by psychologists from the Psychological Support Department of the Main Department of the National Police in Odesa Oblast and representatives of the OSUIA, namely Olga Pasko, Professor of the Department of Psychology and Pedagogy, and Iryna Honcharuk, Head of the Psychological Support Department.
The topic of the training was tactical combat medicine, in particular, first aid for the wounded in combat.
Participants learned the basics of stopping bleeding, treating injuries, stabilizing the wounded until professional medics arrive, and evacuating victims from dangerous areas.
The training also included practical exercises with the use of modern tactical medicine and equipment used in combat.
The event was attended by EUAM advisors Georgina Magnussen and Heidi Kotamaki, who shared their experience and spoke about the EU's missions in Ukraine.
