Chain of unity on the occasion of the Day of Unity of Ukraine

The event organisers took the participants back in time and recalled the event that became a symbol of the unity of the Ukrainian people. On 22 January 1919, the Act of Unification was solemnly proclaimed in Kyiv, on St Sophia Square, uniting the Ukrainian People's Republic and the Western Ukrainian People's Republic into a single united Ukrainian state.

Those present at the rally were immersed in memories of a time of great hope and struggle. As many years ago, during today's event, people from different regions of the country shook hands to stand together in the face of today's challenges and difficulties. 

The cadets of the OSUIA became active participants in the formation of the Chain of Unity. Ukrainian songs and slogans were sung. Higher education students turned over the historical pages of Ukrainian statehood together with other participants of the action.
