Class with the Participation of the Deputy Head of the Property Crime Investigation Unit of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Odesa Region

On April 7, the Department of Operational and Investigative Activities of Odesa State University of Internal Affairs conducted a binary practical class for second-year cadets of the Educational and Scientific Institute for Training Specialists for Criminal Police Units of the National Police of Ukraine.

 

The topic of discussion was “Operational and Investigative Characteristics and Strategies for Combating Property Crimes under the Legal Regime of Martial Law.”

 

 

The event involved the Deputy Head of the Property Crime Investigation Unit of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Odesa Region, Police Lieutenant Colonel Oleksandr Kazakov.

 

 

During the meeting, participants thoroughly analyzed the transformation of property crime in the Odesa region amid the ongoing military aggression.

 

 

Oleksandr Kazakov emphasized to future operative officers the importance of utilizing modern operational-technical and analytical capabilities of criminal police units to detect and apprehend criminal groups “in hot pursuit.”

 

 

Cadets had a unique opportunity to familiarize themselves with the algorithms for documenting criminal activity under curfew conditions, as well as the specifics of classifying looting in accordance with the latest legislative changes.
