The Center for Gender Education (hereinafter referred to as the CGE) has been operating at the University since 2015. The purpose of the Center is to provide scientific and practical assistance to academic staff and students in implementing the ideas of gender equality in the educational process by strengthening the gender component in the content of academic disciplines; conducting educational and awareness-raising activities; organizing research to ensure equal rights and opportunities for women and men, prevent and combat gender-based violence, including domestic violence, combating human trafficking, etc.

The Center's activities are carried out in the following areas:

- educational and methodological

- research and development

- informational and educational;

- organizational.

Representatives of the CGE of the Department of Internal Affairs are constantly raising their awareness of gender issues and improving their skills in conducting training and educational activities, cooperating with public administration bodies and NGOs, the media, etc.

The Centralized Gender Center is a member of the Coordination Council on Family, Gender Equality, Demographic Development, Prevention and Counteraction to Domestic and Gender-Based Violence, Human Trafficking in accordance with the Order of the Odesa Regional Military Administration of 01.02.2024 No. 81A/-2024, as well as the Coordination Council of the Odesa City Council.
