OSUIA hosts Speaking Club on the application of artificial intelligence in police work
Odesa State University of Internal Affairs hosted a Speaking Club on the topic of “Application of Artificial Intelligence in Policing”.
The event was held with the participation of Desiree Hufnagel (Austria), Criminal Investigations Adviser and Trainer at the European Union Advisory Mission (EUAM), and Olga Radkevych (Ukraine), a training expert.
During the meeting, the participants discussed modern approaches to the use of artificial intelligence in policing, including its role in the digitalization of criminal investigations. Particular attention was paid to the ethical use of technology, its impact on the effectiveness of police work, and potential security challenges.
The police cadets actively joined the discussion, discussing the benefits and risks of using artificial intelligence in policing. In the debate format, they analyzed real-life cases, argued their positions, and defended their own views.
The meeting was a great opportunity for future law enforcement officers to broaden their horizons, improve their argumentation skills, and gain valuable knowledge from European experts.
