Topical issues of criminal and legal qualification, documentation and investigation of collaborationism during martial law were discussed at the OSUIA

On August 9, the All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference "Actual Issues of Criminal Legal Qualification, Documentation and Investigation of Collaborationism during the Martial Law" was held at the Odesa State University of Internal Affairs.

The scientific event was opened by the rector of the university, the colonel of police Dmitry Shvets, who congratulated all the participants of the conference and wished them fruitful work, active exchange of ideas and experience.

 

 

The co-organizers of the event were the Department of Education, Science and Sports of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and higher education institutions with specific training conditions that belong to the sphere of management of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and train police officers.

 

Inna Yaschuk, State Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, addressed the audience with an opening speech, stressing that ensuring the unmistakable qualification of collaboration as a criminal offense, quality documentation and investigation of collaboration is a task that requires cohesion and unification of both scientists and practitioners.

 

 

In turn, the First Deputy Chairman of the Odesa Regional State Administration Oleksandr Kharlov in his opening speech noted that the creation of a legal mechanism for the proper response of the state to armed aggression against Ukraine, its justification, collaboration, aiding the aggressor state, unauthorized dissemination of military significant information is in fact one of the levers of rebuff to this aggression and are novelties of the criminal legislation of Ukraine under martial law.

 

 

Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the OSUIA, Member of Parliament Alexei Leonov, addressing the participants of the event, stressed that the topics of today's scientific and practical conference are relevant and timely. After all, while our Armed Forces are fighting an external  enemy - russia, we must do everything to eliminate the threat from the internal enemy and at the same time within the framework of the legislation, because our main goal is to survive in the fight against the aggressor and save the state.

 

 

Further, the conference was held simultaneously at several locations in certain thematic sections:

 

- "Actual problems of criminal liability for collaboration in modern realities";

 

 

- "Actual problems of documenting and investigating collaborationism";

 

- "Operational-search documentation of collaboration: theoretical and applied aspects."

 

 

Professional reports, abstracts and discussions, new ideas, views and concepts of speakers and conference participants contributed to the generalization of scientific approaches and the development of recommendations for practical units.
