"Dreams come true..."
It was these words that Alexander Mogilnikov, a graduate of the Driving School for People with Disabilities of Odesa State University of Internal Affairs, said when he successfully passed the practical exam at the territorial service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and received a driver's license of category B.
Alexander is a migrant from Kherson. He moved to Odessa the year before last. He was injured 27 years ago as a result of an industrial accident.
"I dreamed of learning how to drive a car for probably 30 years. I learned about the driving school in Odessa from the Internet when I was looking for whether people with disabilities could study. First I took a theoretical course and then practical classes. It was morally difficult. I've never driven before. There was no experience, but I had very good instructors, so it was not scary to ride," Alexander shares his impressions.
Driving schools for people with disabilities is a project implemented by the Ministry of Internal Affairs as part of the No Barriers initiative.
