Future investigators got acquainted with the equipment of the mobile forensic laboratory

Research and teaching staff of the Department of Criminal Procedure and Criminalistics of the Odesa State University of Internal Affairs together with Lieutenant Colonel Inna Savelieva, Head of the Criminalistics Department of the Investigation Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Odesa Region, conducted a binary practical training for 3rd year cadets of the Faculty of Training Specialists for Pre-trial Investigation Bodies of the National Police of Ukraine.

The students deepened their knowledge of forensics and criminal procedure, got acquainted with the equipment of a mobile forensic laboratory, practiced tactical features of the inspection, skills of collecting traces of a criminal offense using various modern forensic equipment: forensic suitcases, 3-D scanners, RUFIS device, which allows detecting traces of biological origin.

Particular attention was paid to the use of forensic tools in the investigation of crimes committed in wartime and war crimes.
