M-party: art you can feel with your fingertips
On October 15, the Odesa National Art Museum hosted an M-party, a participatory art event for blind and visually impaired veterans.
The event brought together veterans, city residents, and artists as part of the Life at Touch project, which aims to promote social rehabilitation, cultural integration, and the creation of a safe space for self-expression through art.
Representatives of #OSUIA, veterans of the russian-Ukrainian war Oleh Avtomieienko and Serhii Kozachenko, also joined the practice.
As part of the event, participants visited the exhibition of the winners of the MYPH PHOTOGRAPHY PRIZE 2024 and familiarized themselves with tactile copies of 3D models of sculptures created specifically for people with visual impairments.
M-party became not just an event, but a point of contact – between art and the body, between veterans and the city, between silence and action. It is an example of how inclusive practices can change experiences, open up new meanings, and create an environment where every touch matters.
