100 and 2 Years of Invincibility: OSUIA Celebrated the 102nd Anniversary since its Establishment

On February 27, Odesa State University of Internal Affairs celebrated its 102nd anniversary since its founding. Our university is a higher educational establishment with many years of tradition, unique scientific potential, a powerful material and technical base, the latest technologies and a creative approach to work and study.

 

During the ceremony, on behalf of the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, the personnel of the university was congratulated by the Deputy Head of the Department for Organizing of Scientific Activity and Innovations of the Department of Education, Science and Sports of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, police major Maksym Romanov:

 

 

- The large-scale armed aggression of the russian federation has been going on for more than 730 days. Odesa State University of Internal Affairs and the entire Ministry of Internal Affairs felt this heavy blow like no other, but I am sure that the personnel of the university, your achievements, as well as your goals and plans, will definitely be a part of the Victory of Ukraine - our great state.

 

The rector of the university police colonel Dmytro Shvets addressed with a welcome speech:

 

- Today, it is not by chance we say a century plus two years. Indeed, two difficult years, two years of full-scale invasion of the aggressor on the territory of our state. But, undoubtedly, these are two years of stability, including the staff of our university. I am pleased to talk about our achievements, about the number of trained specialists and the scientific constellation that made a significant contribution to the development of the university. It is a historic date for the university. A lot has been done during this period. But I am convinced that there are still many tasks ahead. We are all working for our one goal - Victory. I congratulate everyone on the anniversary of the founding of the Odesa State University of Internal Affairs. I wish you all the best, new goals and new achievements, a peaceful sky and an independent and sovereign Ukraine. Glory to Ukraine!

 

 

On the occasion of the 102nd anniversary of the founding of the establishment, a number of staff and graduates were honored with a photo card on the university's Honor Board and received the "Best Employee" and "Best Graduate of Higher Education" awards. An order on the appointment of acting junior commanders at the university's faculties was also announced.

 

The morning ceremony ended with a solemn march.

 

 

On this day, the university personnel was also congratulated by People's Deputy of Ukraine, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of OSUIA Oleksiі Leonov; the head of the Main Department of the National Police in Odesa Region Ivan Zhuk; the first deputy chairman of the Odesa Regional Council Oleh Radkovskyi; deputy mayor of Odesa Valeriі Silin; deputy head of the Odesa District Military Administration Alla Vyshniakova and other honored guests who presented awards to university staff.

 

 

Oleksiі Leonov noted that today the university has an impeccable reputation, a glorious history and a powerful personnel capable of performing extremely difficult tasks.

 

- Graduates of the OSUIA proudly defend law and order in the ranks of the National Police, carry out systematic scientific work. Being ahead, paving the way for others is not only honorable, but also responsible. Therefore, I wish to all of you to multiply the glorious traditions of the university and its achievements. I believe that the current generation of cadets will write their brilliant page in the history of the establishment and the Ministry of Internal Affairs, - added the parliamentarian.

 

 

- Odesa State University of Internal Affairs is developed every day, the educational process and scientific activity are being improved, and the material and technical base is being replenished. You pay a lot of attention to national and patriotic education. This is the mission of the university, because educated people are the wealth of our country. Many of your graduates are currently serving in the "Liut" amphibious assault brigade, defending our country. I wish you all good health and, of course, a great Victory soon for us! Glory to Ukraine! - the head of the National Police in Odesa Region, Ivan Zhuk, addressed the audience.

 

 

Oleh Radkovskyi noted that Odesa State University of Internal Affairs is one of the oldest universities in our country with a law enforcement profile, which has a highly professional personnel of scientists, professors and a modern, powerful material base.

 

- Over the decade of its work, the OSUIA has become a real visiting card of our state, educating real professionals who are able to take responsibility for the state of events in the law enforcement system of our country, for the state of security of our society. And this is very important for our country. I would like to wish your entire glorious staff good health, great achievements in the field of science and in the field of educating graduates. And I want to wish the cadets a fruitful study, faithfully serve our country and become worthy sons and daughters of our country, - said the first deputy chairman of the Odesa Regional Council.

 

 

On behalf of the leadership and Odesa City Hall, the participants were greeted by the Deputy Mayor of Odesa Valerii Silin, who wished all employees and cadets good health, strength and professional success.

 

Alla Vyshniakova, congratulated the university personnel, noted: "Ensuring the safety of citizens is a duty and an honor, coming to help on time is a mission and a talent. I wish your university more than a dozen generations that will glorify your glorious establishment. I wish each of you mental and financial stability, an easy ladder to career heights, and peace on our Ukrainian land".

 

 

At the end of the festivities, a patriotic greeting was sung by the soloists of the Military Music Art Center of the MIA Armed Forces of Ukraine.
