Faculty of Training of Specialists for Preventive Activities Units
The Faculty of Training of Specialists for Preventive Activities of the National Police of Ukraine is a structural subdivision of the University and operates on the basis of the Constitution and laws of Ukraine, regulations of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine on the organization of educational, methodological, scientific, organizational and educational activities, the University Charter, administrative acts of the Rector of the University and the Regulations on the Faculty.
The Faculty unites academic staff of three departments:
Administrative Law and Process;
administrative activity of the police;
Tactical and Special and Special Physical Training.
MAIN TASKS AND ACTIVITIES OF THE FACULTY
The Faculty trains personnel under the state order for the units of preventive activity of the National Police, namely higher education of the first (bachelor's) level in the educational and professional program “Law Enforcement” in the specialty 262 “Law Enforcement” is obtained by persons on the basis of complete general secondary education on a full-time basis (duration of study - 3 years).
The faculty provides effective training of specialists for the needs of the law enforcement system of the state. The training of higher education applicants is carried out exclusively by state order, so that after graduation, law enforcement graduates do not face the problem of finding a job, but continue to serve at the place of assignment.
The cadets of the faculty persistently master the most advanced knowledge in the field of security and acquire skills in law enforcement, study special disciplines, learn to work with special equipment and skillfully use weapons, and are actively engaged in special physical training.
Highly qualified scientific and pedagogical staff of the faculty are constantly improving the methods of teaching general and special disciplines, using modern innovative pedagogical technologies and implementing the best practices of police educational institutions in leading European countries. Teachers have extensive experience in law enforcement, which they gained while holding various positions in practical units.
The leading researchers of the faculty, using a wealth of empirical material, conduct in-depth research in the field of civilian security and law enforcement. The faculty's cadets are also involved in scientific work: they participate in national and international conferences, various research competitions, and scientific clubs: “Fortress of Law “Arce Legis” (Department of Administrative Law and Procedure), “Law Enforcement Officer-Scientist” (Department of Administrative Police Activities).
Many cadets of the faculty are engaged in creative activities in the university's amateur groups. The management of the faculty strongly supports the initiative of the cadets to participate in the university's sports sections, where they fulfill the standards of candidates and masters of sports, become prize-winners of international tournaments, national championships and world championships.
Graduates of the faculty are erudite law enforcement officers with a solid knowledge base and excellent physical fitness, who are responsible and creative in their approach to public order and crime prevention.
The faculty is headed by Doctor of Philosophy, Police Colonel Serhii Medvedenko.
