The Department of Material Support is an independent structural unit of the Odesa State University of Internal Affairs, which maintains territories and premises in the technical, sanitary and fire-fighting condition, carries out major and ongoing repairs of buildings and premises of the university, and also monitors the rational and efficient use of fuel and energy resources.

The department is directly subordinate to the vice-rector of the state university in the field of activity. Structurally, the material support department consists of an armament department, a clothing department, a communal and operational department, a capital construction department, a food supply department, a repair and construction department, a communication group, service personnel, a boiler room, dormitories, and an atelier.

Main functions:

maintenance of territories and premises of the OSUIA in proper technical, sanitary and fire-fighting condition;

provision of appropriate furniture, equipment with modern means of communication, office equipment and other necessary equipment of structural units of the university;

providing university personnel with uniforms and bedding in accordance with the norms for dormitories;

control over the rational use and proper preservation of material values;

implementation of measures for energy saving, rational and efficient use of fuel and energy resources;

implementation of measures for the proper organization of accounting and preservation of the university's weapons;

planning and organization of work on major and ongoing repairs of buildings and premises of the university.
