The main tasks of the department are:

1) ensuring, within the limits of authority, the implementation of the state policy in the field of protection of state secrets, protection of information with limited access, as well as technical protection of information, control over their safety at the University;

2) preventing unjustified admission and access of persons to classified information at the University;

3) ensuring the regime of secrecy during all types of secret work, preventing leakage of classified information, in the process of educational and official activities of structural units of the University;

4) organization of the internal security regime at the University;

5) preparation of materials for granting access to state secrets to persons whose positions require access to state secrets, preparation of drafts of relevant orders on these issues;

6) organization and implementation of secret office work and storage of secret documents;

7) ensuring the regime of secrecy and technical protection of information during the defense of dissertation research, reception of foreign delegations at the University;

8) in accordance with the law, within the limits of authority, implementing the state policy in the field of protection of state secrets, including the use of material carriers of secret information stored in a special library by persons who have access to state secrets.
