The Department for Organization and Scientific Activities is an independent structural unit of Odesa State University of Internal Affairs, which was established to organize and coordinate scientific activities, publish educational and scientific literature, and implement state policy in the field of intellectual property rights protection.

The Department consists of the Department for Organization of Scientific Work, the Editorial Department, the Printing Department and the Intellectual Property Protection Group.

TASKS:

Increase the efficiency of research work at the university;

Ensuring targeted interaction and coordination of the activities of the university's structural units in the implementation of research work;

planning, organization and control over the conduct (execution) of fundamental and applied scientific research by the scientific and scientific-pedagogical staff of the University in accordance with the established priority areas of research work of the University and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine;

organization of planning of research and development at the university and development of relevant reports on the main types of scientific work, as well as organization and coordination of implementation of research and development results in the activities of the National Police;

current control over the implementation of research plans by the departments;

preparation of analytical reports on the state of scientific work at the university at the request of the administration, the Academic Council, the Scientific and Methodological Council;

obtaining and accumulating information via the Internet;

Preparation of draft regulatory documents (orders, instructions) governing research work at the university and bringing their content to the attention of the heads of university departments;

preparatory work for scientific and scientific-practical events at the university (conferences, seminars, round tables, competitions, Olympiads, etc);

organizing and conducting university-wide scientific events;

maintaining the file of university scientists;

coordinating the research work of the Council of Young Scientists, the Scientific Society of Higher Education Applicants and Young Scientists, cadet and student research groups at the departments;

informing scientists about plans for research and scientific events in other higher education institutions and research institutions in Ukraine and abroad;

coordinating the participation of the OSUIA staff in inter-university, national and international scientific events;

support of existing and formation of new scientific schools;

coordination of the work of the University's specialized academic councils for the defense of dissertations.
