Meeting between OSUIA students and representatives of the «Tsunami» Assault Regiment, part of the NPU «Liut» Combined Assault Brigade
The Institute of Law and Security at Odesa State University of Internal Affairs hosted a substantive and inspiring meeting between students majoring in «Law Enforcement» and representatives of the «Tsunami» Assault Regiment of the «Liut» Joint Assault Brigade of the National Police of Ukraine.
Acting Senior Psychologist of the Human Resources Department at Special Purpose Police Directorate № 2 (the «Tsunami» Assault Regiment), Police Sergeant Petro Tkach, familiarized the students with the specifics of service in the unit and spoke about the path to becoming a police officer.
Senior Police Lieutenant Vladyslav Bernovek, a senior inspector in the Tactical and Special Training Division, discussed the unit’s logistical support and the specifics of carrying out combat missions, sharing his firsthand experience in the field.
Police Lieutenant Svitlana Ostapchuk, a psychologist with the Human Resources Department, highlighted the path from civilian to police officer. She paid particular attention to the role of women in the «Tsunami» unit, emphasizing that today’s war also has a «female face».
The students actively participated in the discussion, asking questions about joining the «Tsunami» regiment, the specifics of military service, its challenges, and its benefits.
