Meeting of the Mediation Club of Higher Education Students of OSUIA of Higher Education
On October 28, another meeting of the Club for Mediation of Higher Education Applicants was held at OSUIA.
Maksym Korniienko, the first vice-rector of the university, gave a welcome speech. The focus of the meeting is – professional communication in policing.
The event was held with the participation of Anhelina Petelko, head of the Department of the Educational Security Service of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Odesa region.
The head of the Mediation Center, Liliia Matvieieva, focused on the main aspects of effective interaction between police officers and citizens.
The participants discussed the challenges faced by law enforcement officers during communication and methods of overcoming tension and aggression.
Of particular interest was the modeling of the escalation of the conflict according to the concept of the Austrian scientist Friedrich Glasl. Based on this approach, the cadets analyzed exactly how the conflict develops and what strategies can help stop it in time.
Lively discussion, real cases and an analytical approach made it possible to combine theoretical knowledge with practical skills.
