On 26 May, veteran of the Russian-Ukrainian war Oleh Avtomiienko, Head of the Training Course at the Police Academy joined OSUIA cadets in a ceramic workshop session.

The event was organized to create handmade sculpted candles featuring the university’s symbols.

In a warm and creative atmosphere, higher education students had the opportunity to craft unique handmade items that became symbols of unity, resilience, and strength of spirit within the university community. Each candle carries a special meaning preserving the warmth of human hands, memory, and reflections of the present day, while highlighting the steadfastness of OSUIA youth during wartime, their belief in Victory, and their aspiration for a peaceful future.

Joint creative activities contribute to sincere dialogue and better mutual understanding. Such initiatives help students gain a deeper appreciation of human experience while also fostering emotional awareness, critical thinking, creativity, and teamwork skills.
