Event with the participation of a volunteer from the Ukrainian Red Cross Society

Аn informational and educational event dedicated to mine hazards and risks associated with explosive objects was held at OSUIA. The speaker at the event was Olena Reutseva, a volunteer with the Ukrainian Red Cross Society and mine hazard instructor.

 

The event was attended by second-year cadets from the Educational and Scientific Institute for Training Specialists for Criminal Police Units of the National Police of Ukraine, as well as prospective applicants to OSUIA in 2026.

 

 

The event highlighted key issues related to mine hazards, including mine characteristics, how their sensors work, the specific features of anti-personnel and anti-vehicle mines, and explosive remnants of war.

 

 

Special attention was paid to the impact of explosive objects on human life and health, the possible consequences of their detonation, and the importance of following safety rules in high-risk situations.

 

 

During the event, participants were provided with practical recommendations and clear algorithms of actions in case of detection of suspicious objects in order to preserve life and health.
