Graduation Ceremony for Police Officers at Odesa State University of Internal Affairs
The ranks of the National Police of Ukraine have been bolstered by young officers -graduates of the Educational and Research Institute for Training Specialists for the Criminal Police Units of the National Police of Ukraine, the Faculty for Training Specialists for the Preventive Activities Units of the National Police of Ukraine, and the Faculty for Training Specialists for the Pre-trial Investigation Bodies of the National Police of Ukraine at Odesa State University of Internal Affairs.
The graduates were presented with their higher education diplomas by distinguished guests, including Denys Horbas, Director of the Legal Support Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, who congratulated the graduates on behalf of the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine. Also participating in the event were Andrii Niebytov, Deputy Head of the National Police of Ukraine and Third-Rank Police General; Oleksii Leonov, Member of the Ukrainian Parliament and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Odesa Regional Department of Internal Affairs; and Ivan Zhuk, Head of the Main Department of the National Police in the Odesa Region and Third-Rank Police General.
«This marks the beginning of your adult life, where you will take on responsibilities and make independent decisions in challenging situations. I am confident that within the walls of this university, you have acquired all the knowledge necessary for this. In the context of the ongoing war, the state and society place special, additional demands on police officers. The strength and resilience of our Ukraine depend on how diligently and responsibly you approach the fulfillment of your professional duties. I believe that from your very first steps, your professional path will be filled with achievements for the benefit of the Ukrainian people. You are a strategic reinforcement for the National Police today and the embodiment of its successful future», said Andrii Niebytov, Deputy Head of the National Police of Ukraine and Chief of the Criminal Police, a third-rank police general, addressing the young officers.
Addressing the graduates, University Rector Police Colonel Viacheslav Davydenko noted: «Today, you are taking on the responsibility for the nation’s security by choosing the path of serving truth and justice. At the same time, it is important to remember that each of your achievements is also the result of the support and upbringing you received from your families. May this realization strengthen your confidence and resolve in the performance of your duties. Glory to Ukraine!».
For their outstanding academic achievements, the university’s top graduates, Oleh Zaitsev and Volodymyr Pohoretskyi, were awarded diplomas as recipients of the Denys Monastyrskyi Scholarship of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine by order of the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
At the conclusion of the event, the young police lieutenants took part in a traditional ceremony – saying farewell to the flag of Odesa State University of Internal Affairs.
