Visit to the temporary detention center № 1 Main Directorate of the National Police in Odesa Region

The Department of Administrative Activities of OSUIA Police organized a visit to the temporary detention center № 1 of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Odesa region for cadets. The Faculty of Specialist Training for units of preventive activities, as part of the study of the academic discipline «Ensuring human rights in police activities».

The training and familiarization class was conducted by Oleksii Usatyi, head of the department for organizing the activities of temporary detention centers and monitoring actions with detainees of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Odesa region.

Applicants of higher education were familiarized with the grounds for accepting persons detained on suspicion of committing a crime, as well as their rights and conditions of detention; the procedure for searching the cells of a special institution; the operation of the information subsystem «Custody Records» of the information and communication system «Information portal of the National Police of Ukraine»; tasks and functions of human rights inspectors and other features of the detention center.
