Opening of the exhibition «Mariupol’s Heavenly Legion: With Ukraine in Our Hearts»

The event brought together the families of fallen soldiers, fellow servicemen, representatives of law enforcement agencies, and members of the public. Particularly moving was the participation of the exhibition’s creators – Oleksandr and Iryna Lohinov, the parents of the fallen hero Yevhen «Maldar», who gave his life in the battles for Mariupol.

During the event, the defenders of Mariupol – residents of Odesa who have become symbols of Ukraine’s courage and resilience – were honored by name.

Serhii Kozachenko, an assistant to the rector of Odesa State University of Internal Affairs and a veteran of the russian-Ukrainian war, took part in the event.

Odesa State University of Internal Affairs pays deep tribute to the heroes who gave their lives for Ukraine’s independence and supports initiatives aimed at preserving the memory of their heroic deeds.
