A solemn event on the occasion of the Day of Defenders of Ukraine
Today, Odesa State University of Internal Affairs held a solemn event to mark Defenders of Ukraine Day.
Traditionally, the event began with the performance of the National Anthem of Ukraine and a minute of silence in honor of the fallen heroes who gave their lives for the freedom and independence of our state.
The rector of OSUIA, Police Colonel Viacheslav Davydenko, addressed the audience. In his speech, he emphasized the importance of courage, dedication, and patriotism of Ukrainian defenders, and also stressed the important role of future officers in strengthening national security.
As part of the celebrations, veteran university employees were honored, letters of appreciation were presented, and cadets were awarded the rank of police corporal in recognition of their efforts and responsibility in their studies and service.
This day was yet another confirmation that Ukraine's strength lies in its people: in their courage, unity, and devotion to their country.
