On the eve of the holiday Odesa State University of Internal Affairs held a themed event entitled “Ukraine is independent – and governed by the rule of law!” dedicated to the 34th anniversary of Ukraine's declaration of independence.

The university's rector, Viacheslav Davydenko, addressed the audience with a welcoming speech.

During the event, patriotic songs were performed by soloists of the Odessa Regional Police Orchestra, Yevheniia Dasivoia and Andrii Kaminskyi.

The event was made even more special by the original poetry of Svitlana Kucherenko and a speech by Anastasiia Brynza, a specialist in the social and humanitarian work department of OSUIA and winner of national and international competitions.

An important part of the event was an informative and educational report by Doctor of Philosophy Olena Hezina entitled “Independent Ukraine – a country governed by the rule of law,” which emphasized the importance of the rule of law in the development of modern Ukraine.

The event ended with words of gratitude and a call to all those present to bring Ukraine closer to victory through their work, faith, and resilience.
