Students and cadets from Odesa State University of Internal Affairs visited the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine
Students and cadets from Odesa State University of Internal Affairs paid a visit to the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine. The main purpose of the tour was to familiarize future lawyers and law enforcement officers with the practical work of the central executive body responsible for implementing state legal policy.
As part of the visit, university students met with Oleksandr Bukhanevych, State Secretary of the Ministry of Justice and Doctor of Law. During the discussion, Mr. Bukhanevych provided a detailed overview of the specifics of public administration in the legal sector, the organization of the ministry’s staff, and the key areas of reforming the justice system in light of current challenges. Special attention was given to issues of personnel policy, the criteria for selecting specialists for the civil service, and internship opportunities for talented young people.
Students and cadets had the opportunity to ask questions regarding regulatory and legislative activities, the digitization of legal services, and the protection of citizens’ rights. The tour also included an overview of the agency’s history and the structure of its specialized departments.
The event enabled university students to reinforce their theoretical knowledge of constitutional and administrative law and to gain a clear understanding of the practical aspects of how government agencies operate.
