OSUIA students represented the university with dignity at the Second Vasyl Ovsiienko Debate Tournament
From December 8 to 10, Kyiv hosted the Second Vasyl Ovsiienko Debate Tournament for law clinic students, dedicated to the topic of «Human Rights in the Context of Ukraine's European Integration».
Sixteen teams from various legal clinics across the country took part in the competition, debating in the complex and dynamic British parliamentary format. The tournament included not only the competitive part, but also special training from experts, where participants analyzed in detail the roles of speakers, the structure of speeches, and honed their skills in building convincing arguments.
OSUIA team, consisting of OSUIA Law and Security Institute students Mark Pyrlyk and Heorhii Korol, confidently passed the selection process, effectively argued their position in the rounds, and received positive feedback from the judges for their clarity, logic, and teamwork.
Participation in the tournament was an important experience for future lawyers, allowing them to immerse themselves in the real practice of human rights protection and master the tools of public argumentation.
