Specialized Information Event with the Participation of Volunteers from the Ukrainian Red Cross Society
At Odesa State University of Internal Affairs, a specialized information event was held for cadets of the Faculty for Training Specialists for Pre-Trial Investigation Bodies of the National Police of Ukraine, with the participation of volunteers from the Ukrainian Red Cross Society – mine risk education instructors Olena Reutseva and Vladyslav Pozdniakov.
During the meeting, the speakers focused on developing future law enforcement officers’ skills in identifying potentially dangerous objects and assessing risks in environments that may be contaminated with explosive remnants of war. The participants reviewed typical indicators of hazardous objects, behavioral factors that increase the level of danger, and the most common mistakes civilians make in such situations.
A separate section was devoted to professional response algorithms for police officers when detecting suspicious objects, interacting with emergency services, and informing the public.
The cadets also discussed the importance of maintaining psychological resilience and preventing panic when responding to potential explosive threats.
