Сadets and students at Odesa State University of Internal Affairs had the opportunity to experience firsthand what it means to be a combat diver.

A special diving training exercise was conducted under the guidance of military personnel and instructors from the Special Diving Unit of the National Guard of Ukraine’s «Omega» Special Operations Center.

Training began with a warm-up – a 500-meter freestyle swim. Afterward, the participants practiced breath-hold dives, performed underwater exercises using scuba gear and specialized diving equipment, and learned how to operate an underwater transporter.

Underwater, there is no room for unnecessary movements – only focus, control, and teamwork. Diving requires discipline, composure, and a cool head, because the depths trust only those who are prepared.

We sincerely thank the military personnel and instructors for their professionalism, invaluable experience, and for giving young people the opportunity to participate in real-world practical training.
